so, today as i was watching 'how i met your mother,' i was thinking: what makes someone smart? surely it isn't a good memory. i've noticed that we call one with a good memory, one who can recall facts quickly and regurgitate them effectively 'smart.' is 'smart' not the word to describe someone who can figure out problems using that knowledge instead?
